About Us

"Photography is not about cameras, gadgets, and gizmos. Photography is about photographers. A camera didn't make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel" - Peter Adams

Welcome to the  Englewood Camera Club, Inc Webpage

In 2025, the Englewood Camera Club, Inc will celebrate 40 years of activities, programs and services that are devoted to the education and entertainment of its members.

We welcome all those who are interested in photography to join us on the second or fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm normally at the Elsie Quirk Public Library, 100 W Dearborn St, Englewood, FL 34223. Current meetings may also be on Zoom.  There is no prerequisite with regard to photographic skill or experience. Check the Calendar tab for meeting dates and times and location.

The Englewood Camera Club currently enrolls over 100 members. We operate as a non-profit with organization officers and plan activities, projects and services under the consensus of the group with volunteer leadership. Meetings include member sharing time for the viewing of photos. Annual dues for membership are $30 and payable during October or at time of joining, either by check mailed in or purchased online (preferred). Membership includes access to resources, activities, and field trips. Other meeting activities include formal presentations, planning and updates. We take a break for the summer from June to October but continue selected activities for those who remain in the area. Projects include work with area organizations, photo expositions, area photo shoots and social events. To become a member, click here
